Falling in love with exercise

“I’m working on a new me. Not because the old me is bad, but because the old me can improve.”

For most athletic women, exercise is more than just physical- it’s therapeutic. But this is not everyone’s story. It sounds like if it were a vicious cycle in which you set a goal for yourself and try to stick to it. You plan ahead and search for the best work out sessions you can use and your motivation takes a boost! But then, reality falls in, life and work get in the way and the idea of working daily simply falls to the gap.

If this is your case, you’re not alone in your struggle. Here are a few suggestions that may lift up your spirit and bring out the strong, sexy, modern woman inside of you!

  1. Find meaning: Look for a positive motivation towards your work out. The short term benefits will be so rewarding! Keep a positive attitude and determine if you decide to see exercise as a gift or a chore.
  2. Create a work out calendar: Make a strategy, an action plan! Think about that space in your day where you can fit a few minutes of exercise. Think of the possible excuses that may also come up, in order to have a great comeback whenever you have to convince yourself of why you’re doing what you’re doing.
  3. Find a work out buddy: It will be much easier to keep up the good work if you have an accountability partner who will make sure you stick to what you have planned. It may be your best friend, your co-worker, or your partner!

“Most often, it is not the workout that gets us out of bed in the morning. It is the friendship and unspoken bonds of those counting on us to show up.” -FP
